Is specialist training required to use a boot hoist?
No, our range of boot hoists do not require specialist training as they are simple to operate following a demonstration conducted by one of our vehicle adaptation specialists at point of install.
What is the weight capacity of a boot hoist?
Within our range, we have one of the most powerful hoists on the market, capable of lifting some of the heaviest scooters and powerchairs up to 200 kg.
Can a boot hoist be installed on any type of vehicle?
Our range of boot hoists can be fitted into hundreds of different cars including manual, automatic, petrol/diesel and hybrid/electric. For specific vehicle compatibility, we always recommend contacting our team to check and confirm.
What is the maximum lifting height of a boot hoist?
The maximum lifting height will be relative to your vehicle. Contact our team for specific compatibility advice.
How long does a boot hoist typically last?
If well maintained and operated as advised, a boot hoist should last for many years.
Can the parcel shelf still be used once a boot hoist has been fitted?
In most instances, the parcel shelf has to be removed whilst using the boot hoist.
Can my boot hoist be transferred if I change my vehicle?
When the time comes to change car, we recommend contacting our team to check compatibility of your boot hoist with the new vehicle and confirm if we can facilitate a transfer.
Is it possible to load more than one item when using the boot hoist?
Depending on compatibility we can fit lifting brackets to multiple mobility devices for use with the boot hoist. However, in most instances, only one mobility device can be lifted and stowed at once.
Can I keep my rear seats up when using a boot hoist?
This is dependent on the length of your mobility device and the length of your boot. For specific advice, we always recommend contacting our team to check and confirm.
