Anyone for Wheelchair Tennis?
This month and early August is also key for those that love tennis. There have been groundbreaking developments in the wheelchair tennis; when the season kicked off with a new site grass court tournament in Surbiton, Surrey. Thus, becoming the second elite level grass court tournament in the world for wheelchair tennis, after the Championships, Wimbledon.
The new event now providing crucial grass court match practice ahead of the third Grand Slam tournament of the year. The wheelchair tennis competition at Wimbledon takes place just a few days later from 13 – 16 July. Then swiftly followed with British Open wheelchair tennis, 1-6 August in Nottingham.
Disability Innovation Summit 2017
For those that are keen to explore interested in the latest technology, research and projects from across the world. The Disability Innovation Summit takes place 13th and 14th July 2017 at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London.
The Disability Innovation Summit is aimed at academics, disabled people, practitioners, community members, international partners, organisations and innovators to be a part of new advancements. Such as, prosthetics, wheelchairs, mobility scooters, wearable tech and bionics are changing the lives of disabled people.
